The CGC-to-PSA price gap on modern Pokémon has quietly narrowed
PSA's premium on modern Pokemon has fallen to 5-10% — CGC now costs less than the edge it gives up.

Premiums like this are not fixed properties of a label. They are the market pricing the difference between two grades, and that price moves when the underlying difference does.
A fall from 25-30% to 5-10% is large enough to change the arithmetic rather than just the mood. At a 30% premium, PSA's higher fee and longer wait were paying for themselves on almost anything worth grading. At 5-10%, the premium has to cover the fee difference and the extra weeks before it is worth anything, and on most modern Pokémon it no longer does.
Turnaround is doing part of the work, and that matters for how durable this is. If CGC's speed advantage narrows the way SGC's did, the gap can widen again. Price the decision on today's numbers, not on a rule of thumb you learned when the spread was 30%.
