WCG grades at $9 a card and has no cert lookup to back it
No cert lookup means a buyer cannot verify the slab — that alone rules it out for resale.

World Class Grading makes real slabs. Ultrasonically welded, stackable, a 1-10 scale topping out at Diamond 10, around $9 a card — the physical product is not the problem.
The problem is that there is no cert verification database. A grade is a claim about a card, and a claim nobody can check is worth what the buyer's trust in a stranger is worth, which at auction is close to nothing. Every major grader publishes a lookup because the lookup is the product; the plastic is packaging.
That single gap is disqualifying for resale in a way that no amount of grading accuracy repairs. It is not a criticism of how WCG grades. It is that the market has no mechanism to find out.
