GAS is moving real volume on Whatnot despite thin mainstream recognition
Only worth it if you sell on Whatnot; the slab does not travel to other channels.
Cardboard JournalOur analysis
The interesting signal here is not the pitch, it is where the slabs actually move. Dealers reporting thousands of GAS slabs a week on Whatnot, sometimes outselling bigger names on that platform, is a genuine finding about how live selling works.
Live channels price differently from the general secondary market. A buyer in a fast-moving stream is buying the card, the seller and the moment; a buyer browsing sold comps is buying a grade with a verifiable history. GAS performs well in the first and thinly in the second, and both facts are real at once.
So the decision is about channel rather than quality. If you sell on Whatnot, this works and the low cost is a genuine advantage. If the card will eventually be listed somewhere buyers check comps, the label does not travel with it.
One caution when researching: GAS is unrelated to Global Authentication Inc, an earlier company with a different reputation.
